Bryan Soper CEO/Executive Director
Trish Severns Chief Operations Officer
I graduated from Ball State University in with my bachelor’s degree in exercise science. My husband, Tim, and I are both Kokomo originals and enjoy being active in our community. We have two beautiful daughters, Nikki and Ally, who both grew up at the Y and consider the Y and our staff a second family.
Lisa Gauger Mission Advancement Director
I moved to Kokomo, newly married and fresh out of college, to take on the role of aquatic/preschool director at the YMCA. I had planned to live and work in Kokomo for three or four years and move on – but I fell in love with the YMCA and the community, and 27 years later I am still here in the position of mission advancement director. I am married to Gary, and in September of 1990, we were blessed with a beautiful set of triplets, Mitchell Al, Brittany Jean and Tylor Lawrence.
Karl Stoneking Business Director
Kokomo has been home my entire life. I graduated from Northwestern High School and then got my bachelor’s degree from Ball State University. I went into the insurance business right out of college and then in 2000 I felt called to full-time ministry. I was on staff at Oakbrook Church until coming to the Y in 2013. I have been married to the most amazing woman (Sherry) for more than 37 years and we have two daughters, Sarah and Susan. I have a huge love for the outdoors and enjoy watching or participating in most sports.
Ikeia Prince Senior Program Director
I grew up as a military brat, and had the opportunity to travel the world alongside 4 siblings, and my parents. We lived in Georgia, Texas and Germany, but I consider myself a Virginia native. I started working for the Y intending to be a volunteer, but that bloomed into a career in various positions, including director of Youth Development programs in Charlottesville, Va., and I enjoyed launching Early Childhood initiatives at the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis. Throughout my career, I've enjoyed working on project-based work, supporting Diversity, Inclusion & Global efforts and developing others. I love the Y because of the personal development it provides to all!
China Antoine Director of Healthy Living
I was raised in Madison, Ala., where my family still resides. I went to the University of Minnesota with a degree in Kinesiology. I was a collegiate student-athlete during my time at Minnesota. I later achieved my Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Administration. I have always been very proactive when it comes to helping others achieve their goals in the health and fitness area, and I believe that working with the YMCA of Kokomo is a great opportunity to touch people’s lives with an organization who truly strives to better its community.
Erin Larison Membership Engagement Director
I moved to Kokomo fresh out of college and worked as the Life & Style editor at the Kokomo Tribune for eight years. During that time, I fell in love with the town, its people and eventually, with an incredible man named Drew. He and I have been married since 2012 and have one beautiful and brilliant little girl named Ellie, an impossibly cute son named Jude, and two little squirrel-dogs, Olive and Zoey Lawrence.
Christie Tate Child Care Director
I am a Kokomo native and have lived here for most of my life. I graduated from Western High School, and attended Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, Ill., outside of Chicago until I transferred to Indiana University, Kokomo. I graduated from IUK with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2004. I am an avid book reader and collector (my dream is to have a personal library), and I love music of all types. I am a proud geek. I also love to travel, have been to three continents, and am amazed by how beautiful God's creation can be.
Tony Budenz Marketing & Communication Director
I was born and raised in Kokomo, growing up as the only boy (besides my dad!) in a large, amazing family. I am a lover of all the arts, especially film, writing, music, and painting. In 2003, I married my lovely wife, Jennifer, and we've since rescued and raised many Doberman Pinschers. We are proud members of St. Joan of Arc. As a creative soul, I love the Pablo Picasso quote: "All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."
Tiffany Longworth-Boruff Reach & Rise Mentoring Director
As one of the newest members on staff, I joined the Y in October of 2013. I took on the role of implementing a new and exciting opportunity for Kokomo’s youth, as director of the Reach and Rise Mentoring Program. Although a newbie to staff, I am no stranger to the Y. I have been a member of the Y family in several different capacities over the years growing up in Kokomo. As a teen, I dedicated many hours to the hardwood of the Y gymnasium. The Y served as a safe place to meet up with friends and assisted me significantly in reaching my goals of receiving an athletic scholarship and competing at the college level. Beyond athletic skill, I also learned the value of volunteerism in that very same gym through activities such as Lil’ Dribblers, youth basketball camps, coaching, and officiating. We all have an abundance of strengths and skills, but navigating how to best utilize them to benefit others can sometimes be difficult. I am very thankful for the opportunities the Y has afforded me in offering ways to give back and positively impact our community.
Jason L. Youngman Facilities Director
I was born in Tipton, Ind., but was raised here in Kokomo. I went to Taylor Jr.-Sr. High School and Ivy Tech. I have an 11-year-old son his name is Skiler, who now attends Taylor also. I coach football and baseball. I also play in a summer softball league. I try to stay active and my life is far from being boring. I am also a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Tina Edwards Executive Administrative Assistant
I'm a Kokomo native who has been dedicated to serving our community at the YMCA for more than 25 years. I have twin boys, AJ and Andrew, who both grew up attending and loving YMCA programs. Building on my experience from YMCA Child Care and Camp Tycony programming as well as business administration, I'm excited to be a part of team and organization driven to make a positive impact in our community.
Katy Kincaid Aquatics Director
I am from the small town of Galveston, IN. I grew up taking swim lessons at the YWCA in Kokomo and have been in love with the water ever since. I started my college career at Grace College and am finishing up my bachelor’s degree in business management at IUK. I started working at the YMCA in 2013 as a lifeguard and swim instructor. It did not take me long to fall in love with the Y and all of the incredible things being done in this community! So excited to be a part of this team!
