Diabetes Prevention Program

The Diabetes Prevention Program is a scientifically proven program designed to reduced the risk of Type 2 diabetes, all with the help of a coach and group support.

The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) will help you lose 7% body weight, increase exercise to 150 minutes per week, teach self-tracking/self-reporting and accountability – all with a coach, group support, and supplemental material. DPP is a year long program, starting at once a week for the first 16 weeks, eventually going to every other week, and ending in once a month.
The class begins January 24th and will be Tuesdays 6:15 – 7:15 pm. Class maximum is 15, so register early! There will be a waiting list and possible additional classes added, depending on demand. Register by contacting Anya at: anya.ayres@  or by stopping in at our Wellness Desk.

  • Must have a doctor’s report stating you are pre-diabetic
  • BMI of 25 or over
  • 18 years or older
